London

The weekend in London has been great! Unfortunately I got sick the first day and to spend half the day on the sofa :( but nothing holds me back from shopping! ;) 

The african restaurant has been amazing. It has been in Camden, definitely worth visiting!

Das Wochenende in London war toll. Leider bin ich direkt in der ersten Nacht krank geworden und musste den ersten halben Tag auf dem Sofa verbringen. Aber nichts hält mich vom Shoppen ab! 

Das afrikanische Restaurant ist in Camden, in der Nähe des Camden Market und definitiv einen Besuch wert! Kann ich nur empfehlen ;)

Off to London

I have been off to London to visit a good friend there! I love this city, it's just perfect for shopping! 

Karstadt in Duesseldorf

The basement reminds me a lot of the Bloomingdales in New York. I love the beauty department and the chocolate and cupcake bar! It's a wonderful combination, for you can taste some cupcakes, while you try out the newest make up trend at Bobbie Brown etc. 

The first floor belongs to the women! Karstadt got all the important english brands and the top trends! I'm amazed by the Ted Baker section! 

Topshop had finally arrived Germany and started in Duesseldorf. It's only a small section but it's a good start ;) 

Like heaven on earth! The shoe section is my personal paradise and I could spend hours here... 

Back on the ground floor you can find wonderful handbags from Joop, DKNY, Aigner etc... They also have Accessorize, Cordello and an english jewelry section. 

After all, I can really say that Karstadt got amazing and hip. The american investment made Karstadt a bit like Bloomingdales and Barneys, which is great. New brands and a tidy store invite to a big shopping tour. 

Well the downside of this investment, are the prices. The brands are quite expensive. 

Still, it's worth a visit! 

Topshop in Düsseldorf!

I just had to get this necklace with a "C" for my boyfriends name ;) 

Topshop finally arrived in Germany, and it decided to start in Duesseldorf! I was really excited when I entered the store on September 4th. When I have been in London, Topshop as been my first adress to shop; it's a huge store and it was amazing. That was what I expected in Duesseldorf...

As I entered the Karstadt I found a cupcake store (great!), just as you find it in London. This encourged my expectations, so I got upstairs to the first floor and began to look for Topshop... Sadly it hasn't been what I expected. It is a very small section: only 3 pairs of shoes, a few jewelry and clothes, that aren't special at all!

It is nothing compared to the store in London and not enough for the hype that follwed the Topshop apparence.

Still I'm happy that Topshop entered the german market and I hope that they will start their own store soon!

A special about the new Karstadt in Duesseldorf, because it still got a really cool store with interesting labels and wonderful store design! 

Topshop ist endlich in Deutschland angekommen, und sie haben sich entschieden in Düsseldorf anzufangen! I war super aufgeregt, dass Topshop ab jetzt nur 5 Minuten von meinem Zuhause zu finden sein würde. Als in London gearbeitet habe, war Topshop meine erste Adresse zum Shoppen. Der Laden war überwältigend und riesig. Meine Erwartungen waren also hoch, als ich den Laden am 4. September betrat. 

Im Erdgeschoss hat Karstadt einen Cupcake Store aufgemacht, was wirklich super ist und mich sofort an London erinnert hat. Auch findet man überall im Laden Symbole die an London erinnern.

Also ging ich in die erste Etage, um dort nach Topshop zu suchen... Leider war es nicht das, was ich erwartet hatte, denn ich fand eine eher kleine Abteilung. Nur 3 Paar Schuhe, ein bisschen Schmuck und Kleidung, die wirklich nicht außergewöhnlich ist. Es entsprach nicht meinem Bild aus London und schon gar nicht dem Hype der darum gemacht wurde.

Trotzdem bin ich froh, dass Topshop den deutschen Markt endlich betreten hat und ich hoffe, dass sie sehr bald ihren eigenen Laden hier eröffnen!

Ein Special über den neu renovierten Karstadt in Düsseldorf gibt es aber trotzdem bald, denn ansonsten ist der Laden echt cool geworden!
